Villas of Mirada

Development Description

Villas of Mirada (also styled The Villas of Mirada) is the gated hillside villa community on Santa Rosa Mountain Lane in Rancho Mirage, just below Mirada Estates and across from The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage. City and zip are Rancho Mirage, 92270. The map is intentional: semi-custom Tuscan and Spanish villas with private outdoor rooms, a small on-site clubhouse and fitness center, and a deeded amenities relationship with the hotel next door. It is not the custom plateau above it, and it should be shopped as its own product.

Forty-six lots, Scheurer plans, Davidson close-out

The community totals forty-six homesites. Early construction dates to the mid-2000s. After a distressed chapter, Meriwether Companies held the project; Davidson Communities of Del Mar acquired the remaining eighteen lots around 2013-2014 to finish the street as The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage prepared to reopen. Architect Mark Scheurer designed the villa architecture in a Tuscan countryside language that Palm Springs Life and the National Sales and Marketing Awards flagged when Plan 2 took Gold in 2015 for best single-family design in the 3,001-to-3,500-square-foot class. Published plan sizes generally spanned about 2,953 to 3,807 square feet across three- and four-bedroom configurations, with Plan 1 and Plan 3 often carrying casitas and entry courts and Plan 2 emphasizing a media or office room. Later resale marketing sometimes uses residence names such as Monterey, Santa Barbara, and Catalina. Verify the legal plan against the survey rather than the brochure nickname.

Indoor-outdoor rooms facing the valley

Davidson-era marketing stressed turnkey outdoor living: private pools and spas, loggias with fireplaces, and great rooms that open through disappearing door walls. Stone, plaster, and courtyard entries give the street a European hillside read that still belongs to Rancho Mirage light. Community amenities stay compact (clubhouse, fitness, shared pool) so the daily luxury sits in the house and the view corridor rather than a second golf campus. Fee-simple ownership applies.

Deeded Ritz-Carlton privileges

What separates Villas of Mirada from ordinary gated pods is the hotel relationship. Press-Enterprise reporting on the Davidson launch described a deeded amenities agreement: homeowners using resort fitness, pools, spa, and charge privileges with owner discounts, billed in arrears. Palm Springs Life quoted the same structure during the model debut. Terms evolve; read the current HOA and resort documents before you underwrite lifestyle value. The hotel’s Olympic-scale pool deck and spa program effectively extend the villa’s footprint without requiring a private country-club equity check.

Shopping Mirada correctly

Compare Villas of Mirada to Mirada Estates only after you separate product types. Estates is custom, higher on the plateau, guard-gated, and architecturally one-off. Villas is the defined plan series with community recreation and the deeded Ritz package. Floor-plan drawings circulate on listing sites, but Stanton Williams Group has no SWG-branded PDF pack in Drive yet, so Luxury Presence Files stay empty and any official plans found later archive to Developments Floorplans Raw first.

Norman Williams and Jacqulyn Stanton of The Stanton Williams Group at Compass help buyers and sellers compare Villas of Mirada with Mirada Estates, The Springs, and other Rancho Mirage hillside options. Reach Norman at 760.464.2190 or Jacqulyn at 760.702.2557.
