Indian Ridge Country Club

Indian Ridge Country Club occupies one square mile of Palm Desert, with roughly 1,068 homes and a golf-course lot under every roof. Sunrise Company developed the land from 1992 through 2001 and completed home sales in 2002. Two Arnold Palmer Signature courses, Arroyo and Grove, run through the entire community, so the fairway is the view from each house rather than a selling line.

Golf: Arroyo and Grove

Arroyo measures 6,908 yards from the Gold tees. Grove measures 7,060. Both play to par 72, and each course carries ten sets of tees. Grove hosted the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic from 1995 through 1997. Practice is a double-sided driving range plus the Golf Performance Center, with TrackMan 4, video analysis, and club fittings. Jamie Fischer, LPGA, is Director of Instruction.

How the community is organized

Sunrise built seven named collections: Acacia, Mesquite, Palo Verde, Bougainvillea, Smoke Tree, Ocotillo, and Jacaranda. Two homeowner associations sit beside the Club, which is a legally separate, member-owned equity club. The HOA covers 467 homes; the PUD covers 601. A staffed main gate on Country Club Drive handles visitors. Member-only SIRIT-tag gates on Hovley and El Dorado close overnight; from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., all entry and exit is through the Main Gate.

The published span for the community is 1,527 to 4,580 square feet, from attached condominiums through detached single-family houses. All homes came from Sunrise's plan library; the community is fully built.

Membership

Indian Ridge is an equity, member-owned, member-operated club. Membership is not mandatory for every home. Effective October 1, 2015, the club registered active memberships to the member's Indian Ridge address. A buyer of a registered home may take Equity Club membership within 30 days of close of escrow. A buyer of an unregistered home may apply only for Equity Golf membership. Golf membership is waitlisted as of Spring 2026. The club does not publish current initiation or dues; call Membership at (760) 772-7281 for a current quote. An early-2024 club search profile listed Golf initiation at $90,000 and Club at $12,500, with annual dues of $20,160 (Golf) and $9,060 (Club). Those are dated document figures, not a current schedule.

Amenities

Twelve lighted tennis courts, including a stadium court and one clay court; twelve lighted pickleball courts; and six bocce courts. A Health & Fitness Center with more than 45 complimentary group classes a week. Spa at the Ridge. The club describes three restaurants, with named venues including Arroyo Grille, The Ridge Room, Palmer Patio, The Arroyo Bar, JK's Cafe, and Arnie's at the Turn. Rover's Ridge is a homeowners-only dog park.
