Meet Jacqulyn

Jacqulyn Stanton arrived in the Palm Springs area in 1998, which is to say she was here before the revival: before the mid-century houses were rediscovered, before the design press arrived, before the valley became a destination rather than a retreat. She has watched it become all three. A Southern Indiana native, she was licensed in 2003 and held a California broker's license two years later.

Nearly three decades in a single market produces a particular kind of knowledge, granular and unglamorous: not only the clubs and gated enclaves, but the streets, orientations, and covenant structures that separate one address from another a block away. She has been involved in the sale of more than 1,500 homes in the past decade alone. Very little surprises her.

What clients tend to remember is the candor. Jacqulyn will tell a seller what a house is likely to bring rather than what they would prefer to hear, and she is equally direct with buyers about which communities hold their value and which are being priced on optimism. In a market where a great deal of money moves on feeling, that plainness is the service.

Her clients are rarely only desert clients, which is why she participates in two national Compass networks. The Compass Connected Network is a coast-to-coast group of top-producing agents representing more than 250 combined years of experience, so a client buying or selling in another market is introduced to a vetted specialist rather than a name from a search result. The Compass Dream Network operates on the same referral model under an explicit ethics standard, its members fully vetted and held to shared commitments around transparency, discretion, and long-term relationships over transaction volume. She is also a member of Brilliant Visionary Boss Ladies, a national group of top-producing women agents across all fifty states and a range of brokerages, an affiliation that extends her reach past the footprint of any single company.

She is a committed animal advocate. Away from the business she reads, shops, goes to concerts, and trains with weights, yoga, and Pilates. At home her company is two rescue dogs, Ruby and Snoop.

Jacqulyn works alongside partner Norman Williams under the Stanton | Williams banner at Compass.

JACQULYN IN A NUTSHELL

  • Dream Dessert: The white cake at Alps Village.
  • Best Concert Ever Been To: Dead & Company at The Sphere.
  • Favorite Community or Neighborhood: Hands down, The Madison Club.
  • Favorite Season: Winter in the desert. The weather is absolutely perfect.
  • If You Were A Candy Bar, Which Would It Be? I'd be a Snickers. A multi-faceted chocolate bar but a traditional classic. With a Snickers, you are going to get the job done.
  • First record, tape, or CD that you ever owned: These 3 tapes were on repeat: Nirvana MTV Unplugged in New York, Grateful Dead Skeletons from the Closet, and Counting Crows August and Everything After.
  • Favorite Place to Dine Out: Alps Village, the best restaurant in the valley.
  • What Could You Not Live Without? My family, my dogs, and my friends.
  • What Skill Would You Like To Learn: Piano and guitar. The funny thing is when I was younger I could play both and took lessons. I can't remember any of it anymore.
  • What Game Show Would You Be Awesome At: Family Feud. Steve Harvey cracks me up.
